Plant Fund is WongaFix’s green fintech initiative. It converts loan repayments into verified tree planting, and rewards borrowers who complete their loans with better terms on their next facility.
Plant Fund is a joint environmental commitment between WongaFix and its clients. A portion of every loan repayment is set aside into the Plant Fund, matched by WongaFix’s own contribution. Once contributions reach the required threshold, WongaFix funds a planting cycle through verified tree-planting partners. Each tree is physically tagged and geo-mapped, and its growth is tracked and maintained for years after planting.
Borrowers who complete their loan under Plant Fund earn a defined reward on their next loan: a reduced interest rate, a longer tenor, or a higher loan amount.
Plant Fund is not a donation drive. It is a structured, built-in feature of every qualifying WongaFix loan.

How It Works
Take a qualifying loan. Plant Fund participation is included automatically.
Repay on schedule. A fixed portion of each repayment is allocated to the Plant Fund.
WongaFix funds a planting cycle. Once pooled contributions reach the required amount, trees are planted, tagged, and geo-mapped by verified planting partners.
You earn your reward. On full repayment in good standing, your Plant Fund benefit is applied to your next loan.
What You Get
Every borrower who completes a loan under Plant Fund earns one of the following on their next loan:
Reduced Interest Rate — a lower rate than your previous loan.
Increased Tenor — a longer repayment period.
Increased Loan Amount — a higher approved amount than before.
The specific benefit is assigned by WongaFix based on your repayment history and account standing.
Real Trees, Verified Impact
Every tree planted under Plant Fund is:
Tagged with a physical marker identifying it as a Plant Fund tree
Geo-mapped, with a fixed, verifiable location
Maintained by WongaFix’s planting partners for a defined period after planting
Plant Fund does not fund one-time planting events. It funds ongoing reforestation, tied directly to loan performance.

Eligibility
Plant Fund applies to borrowers who:
Hold a qualifying WongaFix loan with Plant Fund participation
Repay the loan in full, on
schedule
Maintain active, verified status as a WongaFix client
